Politics
Don’t worry folks although the topic suggests a possible POTUS rant or joke, I will pass, we’ll just let his “tweets” and amazing vernacular speak for itself.
I wanted to take the opportunity in passing the good word and highlighting a gentleman who is a Democratic Candidate running for the California State Assembly, 51st District. Luis Lopez a native to Southern California, having went to El Monte High School, he received his B.A. in Sociology from Pomona College and completed his Masters in Public Policy at Harvard University. Supported and endorsed by many respected associations, groups and people he is sure to make an impact on a broad scope of issues currently weakening our state.
Latino Comp recently held a fund-raising reception to welcome and support Luis Lopez which drew a solid turnout and generated more than motivation to help him in his pursuit to right what is wrong with our beloved industry, culture and most of all our people, the hard working class of California.
In short, he still has some competing to do and has a formidable challenge ahead in Wendy Carillo, who edged out Luis in the October 3rd special primary election by a little over 800 votes or 4% of the vote. Finishing as the Top 2 they will face off in the special election on December 5, 2017. If you haven’t met him, please reach out or attend one of his many campaign events from here until December. Making a difference starts & ends with motivation along with the conviction to make a difference, Luis Lopez has that and so much more to offer. Lets advocate and support this hopeful potential.

The following topics that I’m currently researching/writing will be on First Responders and the escalating cancer claims along with the results of the recent horrific concert shooting and the adopted claims (Comp/PTSD) that some CA Police Officers are embattling. I will end this 3 part series with Insurance and the bottle-necked surge of claims nationally.
I hope you all enjoyed Halloween, hold on to your seat, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are right around the corner.
All the best,
Laura M Wilson
