‘Tis the season… of giving and charity. This past Tuesday was “Giving Tuesday” and I know we here at Laura M Wilson & Associates did our part, but why stop there?

The “giving season” shouldn’t be one day or month of the year. Just like giving thanks shouldn’t be either. We as human beings should always have the season of giving and thanks in our hearts all year round.

We constantly see negativity on every media outlet we come across, and I for one try to do my part to counter it daily. Not everyone can, or has the time, or even remembers to and that’s ok, so long as when you do you do it with good will and a selfless heart. Thankfully, we have the pleasure of having so many colleagues, acquaintances and friends who share the same passion of giving. I thank you all for that from the bottom of my heart.

Having said that, we have proudly joined with Latino Comp again this year in giving back to the children in our community. Hope in a Suitcase is a wonderful non-profit, volunteer driven organization benefiting the foster children of our communities. By collecting necessary materials for them from clothing to school supplies and so much more and filling a suitcase with them for each child. It is an amazing organization and one we wholeheartedly support.
